The Data Scientist will play a critical role in developing and deploying machine learning models, analyzing complex datasets, and generating actionable insights to enhance our AI products. This role requires a blend of statistical expertise, programming skills, and domain knowledge to solve challenging problems in a dynamic startup environment. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams to build scalable AI solutions that deliver value to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to support AI-driven products and features.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform product development and business strategy.
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient data collection, preprocessing, and integration for model training and deployment.
- Experimentation: Conduct experiments to test hypotheses, validate models, and improve performance through iterative refinements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate models into production systems.
- Feature Engineering: Identify and create relevant features from raw data to enhance model accuracy and performance.
- Model Evaluation: Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques, ensuring robustness and reliability in real-world applications.
- Research & Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science, applying cutting-edge techniques to solve business problems.
- Documentation: Document methodologies, experiments, and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
Must Have
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree with exceptional experience considered.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning, statistical modeling, or AI development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or pandas.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, NumPy, Pandas).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying models in production environments.
- Knowledge of AI domains such as NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant fields.
